Branding:

 

In this competitive business of photography, it is always important to make the best first impression you possibly can.  There is already so much talent out there and great images can only take your business so far.  Your "brand" is so much more than a name, logo, colors, some photos, a website, etc…. it will define who YOU are, what YOUR photography style is, and the overall experience clients can expect to have with YOU from beginning to end.   Once you have come up with a name for your business, decided on the type of photography you are passionate about, defined who you are in the photography world, it's now time to build on that foundation!

 

One thing to keep in mind before you are ready to take the next step in defining your brand is to figure out who your target market is… what type of photography will you specialize in and what audience do you want to appeal to.   Will you focus your attention on a higher end clientele with packages starting at $5,000?  Are you offering a 1 stop shop with sessions, processing, and high res files on a disk for 1 low price?   Regardless of who your target market is, your branding, packaging, and overall look should reflect that.   Always keep in mind, whatever market you want to pursue, don't sell yourself short… find clients that value YOUR work and are willing to pay for your service!  Your brand will help get you the clients you want!

 

 

The Process:

 

Once you have decided to take that important step and take your business to the next level with branding yourself, you will pay a deposit (non refundable) found here.  This deposit is typically $200 and goes towards the entire branding package cost you choose (see below).  It will also hold your spot on the current wait list. Upon deposit payment, you will be notified how long the current wait list is and when you can expect your design project to begin.

 

You will then be sent a detailed questionnaire within 24 hours after a cleared deposit payment.  I encourage clients to take their time with these questions… really think about the direction you want your business to take.  Keep in mind the overall feel and emotion you want YOUR clients to have.   You will be asked to include samples of your favorite place to shop, favorite blogs, places you find inspiration, etc.  The more information you provide, the better idea I have of your style!  If you feel like we need to go one step further with a phone consultation, we will make arrangements and a time for that to take place.

 

Then the fun part begins… I compile all of the information you have given me and brainstorm on some ideas and concepts we might like to explore.  I will begin the design work on your logo/branding package and send you a few samples of the pieces you have chosen to include (i.e business card, thank you card, pricing guide, etc).  At this point, we refine your brand together and will revise until we have come to a final concept.  Once that takes place, I complete the rest of your package and send proofs for you to view.  After final approval, final payment is made and files are delivered to you via email within 24 hours of a cleared payment.

 

 

File Information:

 

For logos:

After final approval, you will receive your logo files as a PSD, PNG, and ABR file.  You may NOT change your logo (other than color) unless I have given you permission to do so.

 

For branding packages:

Once final payment has been received, you will receive an email with a download link to your ZIP files within 24 hours.  I provide layered PSD files to each and every business/marketing piece I create.  All items are created in PSCS 5.  If you require additional services such as text input because you do not have access to a version of full PSCS or program that supports layered files, we can make arrangements for me to add your text for an additional fee.

 

Please note that most of the business/marketing pieces are created with WHCC specifications and if you use another lab, you will have to make the final adjustments and changes.  You MUST have a basic knowledge of Photoshop, layers, and clipping masks in order to use/change these files.  Files may NOT be useable in other programs other than Photoshop CS.

1. I make every effort to keep all clients informed about the begin and end date for their specific project.  Each project is different and creation time will vary.  

 

2.  All design work & concepts are copyright Corina Nielsen 2012

 

3.  You may NOT use the graphics in your branding set on other items such as blogs, splash pages, etc. without permission and an additional fee.

 

4. Deposit is NON REFUNDABLE and full payment is due once initial concepts have been approved and your pieces are ready to be created.

 

5.  Due to the nature of these digital designs and files, NO refunds can be given once work has begun and/or files have been delivered.
